Ravi Varma (Prem Nazir), a rich businessman settled in America, pines for his son Babu, lost at the age of 5. His blind wife had also died the day he lost Babu. With the help of his friend Unnithan (Oduvil) & attorney Ravindran (Sathar), he fakes his death & publishes an ad looking for his son. 3 people show up (Cochin Hanifa, Mohanlal & Jagathi) claiming to be Babu. All 3 of them pass all the tests Ravi Varma, Unnithan & Ravindran throw at them, leaving them confused as to who the real Babu is.

This is a movie about a married man who falls in love with another woman. How his wife is able to get him back and how he realises his mistake is the plot.

Storyline Chiranjeevi plays the dual roles of a Mumbai-based auto driver, Johnny and an industrialist, Kalyan. Because Kalyan was interfering with the plans of the villains, led by Kota Srinivasa Rao, he is first temporarily replaced by Johnny and then framed for the murder of Kalyan's trusted employee (J. V. Somayajulu). Johnny realizes that he ruined the life of a good man and joins forces with Kalyan. They pretend to be each other in order to save Kalyan. (imdb)
