For those familiar with Bram Stoker's novel, this adaptation follows the book quite closely in most respects. Jonathan Harker visits the Count in Transylvania to help him with preparations to move to England. Harker becomes Dracula's prisoner and discovers Dracula's true nature. Unusual twist on vampire mythology supposes one important difference from most movies: daylight does not harm vampires. With this weakness removed, by the 16th or 17th century vampires have become the aristocracy, controlling government and exploiting the few remaining, destitute humans as food and servants. Drakula Goes to RP was a horror comedy that topbilled Dolphy and Maritess Revilla. In the story, Dolphy has a half-brother (Navarro) who is based in London. One day, a package was delivered to him and since it was huge, he remarked: "Ang bait naman ng kapatid ko, nagpadala pa ng refrigerator." The ref turned out to be a coffin and when Dolphy opened it, there was Rod Navarro -- deader than dead. (cinemedioevo.net)
