Renato buys a house on the beach in order to help his wife Helen to recover from her nervous breakdowns and hallucinations. But the former owner of the house had been hanged there. At night the appliances come to life, the house lights flash and an image appears to hang. Renato, who is an engineer and materialistic, passionate about cybernetics, does not believe in supernatural events and wants to commit his wife.
