Nandha (Surya), as a child had to go to juvenile jail for killing his father, after his father beat him & his mother. Returning to the society as an adult, his mother refuses to accept him, but he is taken in by the local bigwig Periyavar (Raj Kiran), as his right-hand. Periyavar helps a group of Tamil refugees from Sri Lanka, including Kalyani (Laila), who becomes Nandha's love interest. Meanwhile, Periyavar is murdered by his son-in-law Durai (Saravanan), & Nandha goes on the hunt for Durai.

In this affecting love story, a blithe young man is determined to win the heart of the girl he adores. Rough-edged college student Sethu ("Chiyaan" Vikram) sets his sights on the conservative Abitha, who finds him obnoxious and rejects him. So Sethu cleans up his act and endears himself to Abitha and her family by showing his gentle side. But just as his fortunes seem to be changing for the better, fate tragically intervenes. (Netflix)
