Arisa Inasaka

Summertime during the sixties on the beach at Enoshima, a seaside resort not far from Tokyo. This is where 12-year-old Nagisa lives with her mother, who runs a small bar. Nagisa's father was a fisherman; he died several years ago. Nagisa - translated literally, her name means 'beach' - spends most of her time with her girlfriend Noriko, the hairdresser's daughter. Recently, however, Nagisa has begun to find Noriko's company rather dull.
