Marty Hillman lives on a Texas ranch with his wife Kay. A young cowboy called Nebraska arrives at the ranch. He's quick with a gun, so Hillman hires him to help fight his archenemy Carter. A lone rider comes across a dying soldier, the victim of an Indian attack, who gives him a paper authorizing the payment of $150,000 to the U.S. Army.
