Seven-year-old Fidgety Bram thinks a lot about the world around him. He is terribly excited about entering the first grade, but ends up in the class of Mr. Fish, the strict teacher. Mr. Fish, a straightforward teacher, is completely uninterested in the details of the world inside Fidgety Bram's mind and does whatever it takes to make Bram do things the "right" way.
