Anju

Prof. 'Shakespeare' Krishna Pillai (Gopi) leads a happy life with his four kids & wife Sharada (Srividya). Asha Thampi (Revathy) moves in as their neighbor, who also joins Krishna Pillai's college as his student. Asha introduces her boy friend Unni Krishnan (Mohanlal) to Sharada, & Unni gets close to Sharada, who reminded him of his dead mother. Asha mistakes this relationship & to get back at Unni & Sharada, pretends to be attracted to Krishna Pillai, with Krishna Pillai also falling for it.

Kochuvava (Thilakan) had grown up with revenge in his heart towards the Mele Koloth family, who had murdered his father, Kochuraman (V.K. Sriraman), for having an affair with their heiress, Manorama. Now a millionaire, Kochuvava buys the Mele Koloth ancestral home, with the idea of moonshining there & demolishing it afterwards. This pits him against his son Mohan (Vineeth), who was in love with Latha (Anju), the youngest surviving successor of the Mele Koloth family, & against Kochuvava's deeds.

Shekara Menon (M.G. Soman), a retd. army major finds & rescues Sivan (Mammootty), a cabby, whom his passengers had called for a trip to Ooty, but left for dead after hijacking his car. Sivan stays on in town to get his car back & helps Menon with his poultry business. Seeing that the town is terrorized by mobster Rangan (Raja), Sivan tries to unite the townsfolk to oppose Rangan. Rangan reacts by harming Sivan's friends & Menon's family & Sivan is forced into a do-or-die battle with Rangan.

Unemployed youth Kunjananthan (Dileep) faces ridicule from his family & loses his girlfriend Shanthini (Geetha Vijayan) after he is falsely accused of a theft. Dejected with life, Kunjananthan repeatedly attempts to commit suicide, but each attempt is foiled by fate. Finally, a new job & a new girlfriend, Latha (Devayani), breathes life into his existence & he yearns to live again.

Hassan Bava (Keerikkadan Jose), an upright man who used to stand up for the rights of the local fishermen, gets framed for the murder of his younger sister Subaida, who was actually killed by her ruthless husband, Carlos (Raghu), & sent to jail. Years later, Hassan comes out of jail & sees Carlos ruling over the beach & that Carlos's daughter & Hassan's niece, Lizy, was in love with a local boy, Joy. Knowing Carlos's cruelty, Hassan gives the lovers shelter, which pits him against Carlos again.

Balan (Mohanlal), a loner, comes to a remote mountainous village in search of his friend, Raju (Salim Ghouse), who had killed his wife Raji (Anju) & stolen his life savings.

Four ex-convicts - Aliyar (Thilakan), Ramayyan (Raghu), Hamsa (Babu Antony) & Antony (Mammootty) - serve life sentences & come out with the intention of murdering Haridas (Vishnuvardhan) & his 3 daughters, the ex-cop who was responsible for their arrests & the death of their families. They finally get to Haridas, but when he reveals on his deathbed that one of his 3 children was actually Antony's daughter, Antony is forced to turn against his friends to protect the girls.

Worried about the future of his 2 sons, the blind Unni (Sreenivasan) & the deaf Balan (Mukesh), businessman Sreedharan Nair (Thilakan) decides to provide them with life partners & gets them married to Geetha (Anju) & Anjali (Mathu) respectively. However, things don't turn out as planned for Sreedharan when his sons' in-laws move in & try to control things & brainwash Unni & Balan. Sreedharan plans an elaborate drama involving a fake long-lost son (Siddique) to make Unni & Balan see the light.

After influential eco-warrior Prof. Madhava Menon (Sukumaran) tries to expose the looting of forest resources by opposition leader K.R. Sreedharan (Ratheesh), he is shot & narrowly escapes death. Menon's followers recruit Colonel Varma (Jagathi), who runs a security firm, to protect Menon. Varma deploys 4 young men from his team - Sivashankaran (Vijayaraghavan), Punnoos (Baiju), Razak (Raju) & Mahendran (Keerikkadan Jose) - for this purpose, who later also identify with Menon's cause & join him.

18-year old Jessy aka Sreekutty (Rohini) runs away from home after constant fighting between her divorced parents Sreekantan Nair (Jose Prakash) & Dr. Susan Jacob (K.R. Vijaya) over her future. She ends up at Eve's Beauty Parlor run by Elizabeth (Sukumari), which was on the brink of ruin due to lack of good talent. An expert beautician, she saves the salon, & also gets close to Elizabeth's son & videographer Emil (Rahman). However, word of her presence leaks out & her dad comes looking for her.

Martin (Mukesh), the youngest son of Mundakkal Markos (Madhu), is a ruffian who does anything for money. Sreelakshmi (Anju), the heir of the family of Nangyaath Madam, meanwhile was in danger of being cheated out of her inheritance by her uncles - Bhadran (Narendra Prasad), Krishnan (Johny) & Vishnu (Rizabawa). Circumstances lead to Martin marrying Sreelakshmi, thus triggering a rivalry with Nangyaath Madam. Sreelakshmi dies during delivery, leaving the 2 families to feud over the baby's future.
