Sankaran Nair (Thilakan), a Retd. driver has 4 kids - bank employee Krishnanunni (Balachandra Menon), drama artist Preman Vadakkummuri (Sreenivasan), & students Gopu (Baiju) & Rema (Parvathi). For Krishnanunni, everything is based on money, & this mentality of his brings friction within the family. He gets into a war of words with Sankaran Nair, & demands back the INR 25,000 he spent on Rema's wedding. Sankaran Nair vows to pay back the debt, & kicks Krishnanunni out of the house.

Ashwathi Varma (Ambika), a reporter for 'Sunday Mirror', tries to expose the underworld criminal-political nexus & the gold smuggling racket of Sagar alias Jacky (Mohanlal), which he jointly runs with Shekaran Kutty (Suresh Gopi), the son of the state Chief Minister. Sagar opposes Shekaran's wishes to expand the business into narcotics, & this makes them fall out with each other. IG Thomas (Janardanan), who has a personal vendetta against the Chief Minister, also tries to exploit this situation.

Bhuvanachandran aka Bhuvan (Dileep), a broke real estate broker, is conned into buying a 30 acre land in Tamil Nadu, disputed by 2 warring local bigwigs - Pandidurai (Prakash Raj) & Karuppayya (Rajan P. Dev), both of whom sworn to kill anyone buying the land. Bhuvan & his partner Bhasi (Harisree Asokan), hatch a plan wherein Bhuvan would befriend Pandidurai to get closer to him. They find themselves facing a dangerous crime syndicate headed by Prabhakaran Thampi (Karamana). In addition, Ananthan Nambiar (Thilakan), the man they put behind bars in 'Nadodikkattu', escapes from jail in Tamil Nadu & comes seeking shelter with Prabhakaran, in Kerala.

One of the twin sons of a family gets stolen during a train journey, after which the child grows up in another family as the son of a childless couple, as Vetrivel aka Vel (Surya). Meanwhile the other kid grows up to be a private detective, Vasudevan (Surya). Vasudevan's girlfriend Swathi (Asin) runs across Vel & informs Vasudevan about him. After Vel & Vasudevan realize that they are brothers, they decide to switch places, & Vasudevan takes on Vel's arch rival Sakkara Pandi (Kalabhavan Mani).

Millionaire G. Hareendra Varma (Indrajith), owner of the IT firm 'Starline Software', achieved success at a young age. Retaliations & counter-retaliations later, Ganesh is dismissed from college & Sujatha discontinues studies, afraid of Ganesh. Years later, a still vengeful Ganesh, now a successful businessman, tries to wreck Sujatha's husband Ravi Shankar's (Venu Nagavalli) business, & hence Sujatha's happy home.

Malavika (Ambika) of the Udayapuram palace elopes with Abdul Rahman (Captain Raju) of the Arackal family, causing enmity between the two families. Years later, when proposals for Gopika Varma (Preetha Vijaykumar) of Udayapuram gets repeatedly impeded & it was decided to conduct a religious rite to rid Udayapuram of the string of bad luck it's been having, Malavika's son Sulaiman (Dileep) comes to Udayapuram palace, posing as Unnikrishnan Nampoothiri, to helm the rite & falls in love with Gopika.

Chandrahasan takes a fancy to Vijayalakshmi, but she turns out to be the long-lost daughter of king Indraraja Reddy (Nasser) of the Banjara Palace in Andra Pradesh & Chandrahasan promises Reddy to return Vijayalakshmi to him.

Kochu Kunju (Prithviraj), the black sheep of the affluent Vadakkan Vettil family, who made his fame & fortune in the Dubai underworld, returns to Kerala & acts goofy in front of his uncles & cousins by spending his days fistfighting & drinking. His ulterior aim - to get his father Daveed Lopes (Saikumar), whom years ago Kochu Kunju's uncles had plotted to kill, but escaped, back into the household & to end his mother Katrina's (Ambika) suffering.

Jayanthi (Ambika), after being impregnated & dumped by her lover & serial womanizer, Babu (Mohanlal), just days before their wedding, pieces her life back together in another place & finds love in the form of her short-tempered but sympathetic boss Lambodharan Nair (Balachandra Menon). However, her new-found life is threatened when she runs across Babu again, & Babu wants to have his way again with her, threatening to spill the beans about her past to Lambodharan if she didn't comply.

Kunju (Dileep), the youngest member of the Thiruvambattu joint family, who became mentally ill a couple of years ago after his overly sensitive lover Malavika (Haripriya) had committed suicide after a misunderstanding, recovers since then, but constantly faces ridicule & discrimination & finds it difficult to find a bride. He finds a sympathetic companion & friend in Sreedevi (Poornima Mohan), who was of a lower caste & strata, & reminisces to her about Malavika & how he became insane.

Dr. Ravi Varman (Suresh Gopi), a brilliant but eccentric shrink who only treats one patient at a time, takes up the case of Yamuna (Navya Nair), an acutely schizophrenic girl & cures her, but in the process messes up his own marriage to Jyothi (Shweta Menon). 3 years later, just days to go before Yamuna's wedding, she receives a letter from Unni Nedungadi (Jagathi Sreekumar), Ravi's manservant, with the message that Ravi wishes to see her urgently.

Shankaran (Mohanlal), a Brahmin youth, lives in constant frustration at being unemployed, with a drunkard father who used to be a famous singer & his stepmother & stepsister. His frustration at life causes him to snub the overtures of Bhama (Ambika) who was in love with Shankaran. After a showdown with his family, Shankaran leaves for Madras, while Bhama is married off elsewhere. However, Shankaran & Bhama meet again in Madras & he learns of her loveless married life with Mani Iyer (Murali).

Deepu (Jayaram) is the pet & indispensable brother of his 5 sisters. After a long & hard search for a bride for Deepu, they all settle on Priya (Samyuktha Varma) & the wedding is conducted with pomp. However Deepu was in for a shock when he learns that Priya was mentally ill. Refusing to leave Priya, & against his family's will, Deepu takes Priya to a mental institution run by an unorthodox doctor (Lalu Alex), to cure her illness.

Upright customs officer Ravindran (Mammootty), who takes on smuggler Alexander (Thilakan) & his 3 sons Freddie (Captain Raju), Felix (Lalu Alex) & Stephen (Santhosh), finds evidence of Alexander selling state secrets to foreign enemies. Afterwards Alexander is found dead & Ravindran is sentenced to life for the crime. While Ravindran was in jail, Alexander's sons rape Ravindran's wife Nimmy (Jayapradha) & drowns his daughter (Shalini). After 9 years, Ravindran is released & is out for revenge.

Pauly Varghese (Kunchacko Boban), communist activist & a constant headache for the corrupt panchayat president Sukumaran Nair (Vijayaraghavan), decides to start a business with the 30 lakhs he receives from the government as restitution, after his soldier father (Sadiq) is killed in a terrorist attack. But soon Pauly realizes that starting a business in Kerala is not easy without greasing the right palms. Pauly refuses to pay bribes & ends up facing the ire of the bureaucracy & the trade unions.

In the indigent village of Gowlipady, lottery agent Kashi (Nedumudi Venu) realizes that the latest lottery was won by someone in the village he had sold a ticket to. Kashi finally figures out that it was the drunkard Antony (Nandu), but he finds Antony dead from shock. Kashi takes possession of the ticket, but word leaks out to almost everyone in the village & now the village has to come together to convince the lottery inspector Vijay Nambiar (Anoop Menon) that the milkman Nallavan is Antony.

A socially awkward & introvert girl, Mili (Amala Paul), is fired from her job as a daycare teacher due to a mistake, but tries to start her life anew by opening a new daycare at an apartment complex with the help of her friend Naveen (Nivin Pauly), but faces challenges along the way.

When Karthik is given a task by his producer to come up with a gripping gangster flick infested with heavy dosage of violence, he focuses on Sethu, a ruthless gangster surrounded by quirky yet scary henchmen.
