Iván, a 14 year old boy in Mexico City is stealing car parts for his uncle so that the two of them can go to the United States. Iván and his friend Efraín eventually become involved in more serious criminal bussiness.

When the patriarch of the family passes away, the teenage children must take responsibility for the family chores: the preparation of the rituals, the hunting and putting the all-important meat on the table.
