The Baron Henrik von Hagen is an idle Finn bourgeois, after eleven years, he meets again an old acquaintance, Madame Vasilyevna, a foreigner who during her youthful days was a ballet dancer while Herr Baron was her faithful cavalier. Once they are reunited again in Helsinki, Herr Baron discovers that Madame Vasilyevna earns her living with a new hobby: she likes very much painting frozen Finn landscapes but especially the ones around military bases.

The adventure film The Man of a Hundred Swords (1951), directed by Ilmari Unho and written by Simo Penttilä, takes place in 1634, when the 30-year war is still raging in Europe. Kaarnoja's captain (Kalervo Nissilä) gets caught in the middle of intrigues, and a dispute between the noblewoman Elisabeth (Marja Korhonen) and her cousin, captain Gyllenskiöld (Ture Junttu).

The drama directed by Toivo Särkä and Yrjö Norta is based on Eino Railo's novel of the same name. In the film adaptation, set in 1930s Ostrobothnia, the Ylitalo sisters live a summer full of love. Rampant but cheerful Eliina (Ansa Ikonen) likes the high school student Yrjö (Jorma Nortimo), while the heart of the divine Johanna (Ester Toivonen) beats for childhood friend Huhdan Aksel (Eino Kaipainen).
