Maicon, a man who earns his living collecting old newspapers on the street, goes to jail after some outlaws on the run drop some drugs in his little pushcart. When he gets released, he goes after the men who caused his misfortune. (imdb)

A middle-aged man leaves his family and friends to live alone in a canoe in the middle of a river in central Brazil, and never again set foot on land. His only contact with people happens through his son Liojorge, who leaves food on the waterfront.
