Users can currently make their own collections "hidden," so that the collection is only visible to themselves. Nevertheless, there is a proliferation of public and private collections of varying interest, so that for some movies the list of collections of which the film is a member is very long.
My suggestion is that a user should, if they wish, be able to "turn off" the visibility of a collection that belongs to another user. There would need to be a way, either on a movie page, or on the list of collections page, or preferably both, of clicking a button called "Hide this collection" or something along those lines. And I guess there would need to be some place to go (presumably somewhere on the collections page) to see all the collections I have hidden, so that I can turn them back on to visible if I wish.
I know this would be a very useful capacity for me. There are many collections by other users that are of absolutely no interest to me, and I am sure that there are users who would like to turn off some of my own collections.
I think this will make the proliferation of collections more manageable for users. It will improve the appearance of Criticker, and it will add another tool by which users can tailor Criticker to their own specific interests.

Re: Hide this collection
This is very similar to a future enhancement we already have in our plans: "Ignore Collections". Similar to how you can ignore films or users, this will allow people to ignore collections, preventing them from showing up in lists.
