I have noticed that Criticker disallows the submissions of films which are listed under the 'Adult' genre on IMDb. The film "Ken Park" is listed as 'Adult' at IMDb, yet it has still been allowed submission here... The reason I'm creating this is because I want to submit the Bruce LaBruce film, "No Skin Off My Ass"; but because IMDb has tagged it as 'Adult', I now cannot.
My question is, why make some exceptions and not others? Why group these movies, which were made with artistic purposes, with hardcore pornography simply because IMDb decided to? That isn't fair. It isn't fair to me for not having the ability to rate it on here, and it isn't fair to the actual movies for being denied the attention they rightly deserve.
There is a distinction between movies like "No Skin Off My Ass" which actually try to be about something other than porn, and films made solely for the purposes of sexual arousal. Hardcore porn doesn't deserve to be on here, but these ones do.

Re: No Skin Off My Ass
I was the one who started a topic about this before, and I still think I'm right in saying that simply saying everything labeled "adult" on IMDb shouldn't be allowed on Criticker is silly. For one thing, Criticker won't actually be storing any offensive or adult material, only references to such. For another thing, potential offensive images in the film image would obviously be monitored and as for offensive titles.. Come on, there are a huge amount of titles on regular films on IMDb that are more offensive than almost any porn title. I certainly agree drawing a line is a valid idea, and I can also see how it would be difficult for Criticker to draw a line independent of IMDb, but my opinion still stands. It's a shame that films like this are given the slip due to IMDb's stupidity.
That said, I'm relatively certain no exceptions have been made. I was able to submit a few films labeled "adult" in the past, but I'm relatively certain that was before the site redesign when such films were allowed. I think the decision to not allow "adult" films outright is a relatively new one. (Well, I say new, about 1,5 years back perhaps?)
