I wrote an article about my rubric and even included a public link to the calculator in google sheets! https://potatopaisan.medium.com/my-movi ... 1e7482a0db

Check it out and let me know what you think...
I haven't even read it yet, but I know I'll probably love it after just clicking on the link haha.

So I had some time and transferred your table to Numbers on my Mac. I recently finished a movie so I plugged in the numbers, and found it to be accurate! (I was rewatching the movie) I know the reply to my next comment would be, "Well, don't feel like you need to go back and watch every movie," but your proposed table does tempt me to wanna "start all over," if you will. Lol. Good work! ;)

That makes me so amped :). Please share any feedback! I have a separate template I use for documentaries which I can share too.

Nice! Sadly I don't dip into docs very much but the template I'm sure would be great. I've used the narrative template more, though, and have found that for the personal I try to keep it more loosey goosy without too much thought, because I already try to make my own ratings objective. Whereas with the comparative categories you've laid out they seem to involve some research at times if you're not the best film history expert in the world haha. I like the template because it doesn't just give some aggregate formula where your preference isn't included, but it also adds weight to a film that maybe you don't prefer as much, but had significant impact in its genre or release time.
