Films etc in which one character says to another "this isn't a movie!" or some close variation thereof. Commonly followed by an even more strenuously uttered "this is real!!!"
I just heard it again in The Hard Way, in which it works as kind of a runner, with at least two more variations on the phrase.
Please help me come up with more examples! This isn't a Criticker thread, this is real life!!!

Do these count? I know that you're sentimental about your collections. So I did not put them there.
Well, this is not a script, Diana. There's some real, actual life going on here.
Network
OK, Vampire Anatomy 101, crosses and holy water don't do dick so forget what you've seen in the movies.
Blade
In the real world, people die!
Logan

Re: "This isn't a movie!"
I appreciate the attempt at snark, my good man, but I instead of "sentimental" I would have recommended anal. I'm anal about my collections. I'm sure you get anal, mr. coffee.
But even in collections, as with everything in life, I operate under the guiding principle of "kill 'em all and let God sort 'em out."
Thank you for the suggestions! I didn't think to check TVTropes. Network definitely fits. I believe I will have to ruminate on how inclusive this collection will be. Like a golf course owner in 1960. Or 2020.
