Typical romance but damn! Kirsten Dunst has a great set of perky puppies!

You look at the synopsis and can already plot out the first, second and third act turns to the letter, but thankfully Dunst and Hernandez make a lovely couple, and Davison gets a surprisingly good role, investing his stock “disapproving father” with a genuine compassion and sincerity, though the uncommonly good writing assists. Manages to make interesting tweaks to its tried-and-true formula; nice how the lines blur and merge as to which of the two leads is from the “wrong side of the tracks”.

Nothing surprising here. Girl from rich white family and boy from poor latino family. Really done and dusted plot. Actors were good.

This movie highlights a young Kristen Dunst who plays an out-of-control teenager acting out. Tormented by the death of her mother, she craves a romantic attachment. Performances are adequate, but Jay Hernandez sometimes seemed vacant. I liked Lucinda Jenney as the frustrated step mother. Taryn Manning was cute. There were a few nice love scenes and good moments, but overall it felt a little shallow, poorly delivered and sometimes unconvincing.

There were a few movies I saw around this time because I bought tickets to them and then unsuccessfully tried to get into an R-rated movie that I actually wanted to see. I wish I had just cut my losses and left the theater for this one.

I'd talk about this movie, but then I'd have to throw up repeatedly, and I fear there aren't enough buckets in the world to get me through a review. Let's just say that it is EXACTLY what you think it is.

Didn't seem worth finishing, bet since it has Kirsten, I probably will.

This movie just made me dread the day my daughter becomes a teenager.

I really like this movie. It's corny at times, but has good actors, a great soundtrack, and is just reliable entertainment. I like it very much.

Typical film of love between people of different ethnicities and social status.

Kristen Dunst is so natural on the screen. The story is not one of the best, but I kind of liked it a lot. Jay was also okay here.

Well acted, & well meaning with believable character transformations. Of course if you aren't into high school romances, you'd best stay away. Kirstin & boy are serious eye candy.

Spoiled rich white girl nearly fucks up the chances of a poor minority trying to better himself. Who cares.
