Zuckerbaby

This was quite unusual and it predates the modern quirky indie-comedies. It’s meticulously designed visually and the look resembles a horror movie at times which is at odds with the story. It was nice to see a plus sized woman (Sägebrecht) as the lead which must have been very rare in the mid-80's as it still is in 2022. Unfortunately the film lacks depth and it starts to get tedious even with a runtime of 85mins. The character motivations remain a mystery.
