Zolotoy klyuchik

The Golden Key (1939) is a unique Soviet children's movie which combines puppeteering, stop-motion and live action to create it's world of puppets and weird people! I won't claim this is anywhere near the best films of this genre, but this sure is an adventure!!! Surprisingly smooth for it's period. Though it could have used a lot more focus on the characters to get more out of each situation. Childish and amateurish at times, but so much imagination!
