This work is a superb example of coercive persuasion for many reasons, not the least of which being that like all good propaganda, it pretends to be a groundbreaking exposition of propaganda. That the conspiracy theories herein are actually convincing to a certain audience is a testament to the efficiency of its tactics; it begins on relatively steady ground and uses the momentum, and the same authoritative tone, to progress to disinformation and the incitement of moral panic.

I study history. This film is an insult to the study of history; blatantly misleading people and not citing a single source. If you believe a word in this movie you are retarded.

Pseudo-intellectual conspiracy bullshit that appeals to college fatbodies who are studying a major you didn't even think could exist. This is nothing but mindless propaganda from the cum-rag of a lying, manipulative sack of shit. You're either 13 or a complete idiot if you believe this crap. Comparable to those morons who believe that there are lizards from other dimensions who control Dick Cheney and Donald Rumsfeld. Go get some sun if you believe one word of this "documentary".

The sheer amount of fallacy in this film is baffling. Since I had pretty much stopped paying attention after the first of the 3 parts I'm just gonna talk about that. They so misstated so many facts about different religions it is stunning. Not just mistakes, but enormous fucking lies. The opening 5 minutes were about the closest thing to a brain wash film I have ever seen . I only give it one point because I can't find it in my heart to hate it as much as Eragon. This movie is bullshit.

This is clever propaganda that preys upon weak-minded, uneducated individuals. I'd rate it about a 3/10 on the technical aspects of the documentary and a -3/10 on content, balancing it out to a cool 0/10.

Shouldn't watch this if you're really paranoid. The first part (religion) is actually very interesting and informative. Part 2 and 3 are all about conspiracies. Basically, it's about not believing everything you're told, which is a good thing - and also applies to the movie itself. (In this context the idea of "one world" actually gives me the creeps)

The whole part about Jesus comparing with Horus and other gods is just pure lies. They may not did it on purpose, but if you do a documentary, you have to check everything you say very carefully. I haven't watch the rest of the movie, because if you lie about one thing, you can't expect people to believe you about other things. Lying is the worst possible thing a documentary can do. And I am not an offended believer, I am open minded atheist.

There's simply too much spin for it to be as effective as it wants to be and it's also far too ambitious for the breadth of material it tackles. It'd be better suited for a 10 part series so that it can tackle each subject individually. I also struggle with the idea that many ideas you can look at and there's not necessarily any sort of conspiracy there. There are definitely holes but the material is very engaging and at the very least piques the curiousity as well as encourages conversation.

For a movie trying to wake us up from how we are all unknowingly being manipulated quite expertly by the powers that be, this is pretty fucking ham fisted. If you manage to sit through the "oh-my-god-I'm-so-high-right-now"-intro a rather educational part on religion follows before the movie veers into tin foil hat waters which are by no means boring or uninteresting. But, you know... I'm in my 30's, I really should be watching something else. Luckily I have Adam Curtis for just this occasion.

Yeah sure, the government created the media to distract us from their policies, all politicians and rich people are assholes, religion is all about astrology... DURRRRR Ironic how they basically set out to destroy the governments so called "propaganda" and "lies" when the movie itself can quite easily be defined in the same way.

Complete and utter bullshit, through and through. Religion is bullshit because of astrology? What the fuck is that!? There are plenty of ways to demonstrate how religion is false, but using sophistry and non-sequiturs is laughable. Same goes for the other wacko conspiracy "theories" brought up. Everyone is controlling you, whoOoOoO! Spooky scary! If you're gullible as all hell and don't value truth, then this piece of garbage is for you. Illuminati Illuminati Illuminati

So it goes something like this: Jeff the God of Biscuits was really the sun and Christianity stoled this idea (lolz!). This seamlessly segues into 9/11 and the federal reserve. Game, Set, Match.
I am all for not trusting one's government or media, but this my friends is lunacy presented in the format of a young mind who thinks they found a secret and has the keys to the public access studio.

This movie is good for seeing manipulation techniques in action, it's also good for raising a few issues and making you think about certain things. But it definitely shouldn't be accepted as the truth; anyone who accepts the things presented in this movie without question is just as bad as the others who let themselves be slaves to various doctrines.

Look, when it comes down to it, it opens the mind to new ideas which was exactly the purpose of the film. There's only one problem with the whole thing. The mechanism it claims the world revolves around is fear through religion, politics, and the economy, and that very fear is what they attempt to build in the viewer to ignite change. It's a huge contradiction and ruins the whole idea for me.

Thought provoking. The second and third part where Joseph talks about terrorism, money and the dollar, and the international elite, poses some good questions and has a lot of truth in it - or at least that's what it looks like. The first 3rd of the film I have a problem with, as both A) it feels disjointed to the rest of the film, not in line with the subsequent message and topics, and B) doesn't look well researched, from a Christian point of view.

Loved this movie before the fact check. Fact checking wasn’t kind. A film like this really ought to provide citations. Still, the point isn’t dismantled & much of the essence could just as easily have been conveyed with better researched supporting sources.

I only fully watched the first part about religion. This was fairly entertaining and interesting, but at the same time full of lies. After that there are a lot of conspiracy theories and I decided I didn't want to spend any more time on a filmmaker that deliberately lied and/or didn't do research in the previous section. A documentary should be informative, this film certainly isn't. Full of crazy lies and conspiracy theories. Avoid!

I found part 1 quite interesting although I would have liked that sources are mentioned.
Part 2 is a conspiracy theory, but I also found it interesting. Part 3 was utter nonsense. The main problem with this, besides the brainwash, the lack of sources and the speculation is the way it was done. I think it has many interesting things to say, but as a film/documentary is poorly executed, dragging by and resulting boring.

The parts about religion and also some of the september 11th section have interesting content, despite the irritating tone and presentation. The second half is just way too slow.. The portion on the monetary system very weak, however. Every quote is about 58 times longer than it really needed to be. The whole film should really be only an hour long, not two hours. This could be easily achieved by cutting useless quotes and sections like the 10 minutes of boredom the play before the title.

A dangerous film which has grabbed the minds and energy of the good willed no-brained masses.
There is close to zero truth in this film, just about every fact can be proven false by a quick search online... and yet the mass hysteria around is monsterous.
Ideals are a good thing, and there are many films out there that I'm sure would match the ideals of the fanbase of this film, unfortunately they require a small amount of logical thinking and critical analysis and thus will remain in the

The V/O in Z:TM is occasionally condescending towards its audience, which quickly implies a level of delusion. A delusion which exposes itself entirely when Joseph incredibly warns us of the U.S. governments imminent plan of micro-chipping the masses (and a date which has since passed). At that point the film went from lop sided speculation to madness. This is not a moderate film and never claims to be, but it does claim to be truth. For me, there are far to many loose ends to earn Z:TM that tag

The poor man's Michael Moore, but in terms of entertainment there ain't nothing particularly wrong with that.
