Zana succeeds in its slow reveal - punctuated by horror tropes, sleep walks, night terrors, oppressive in-laws - of the true cause of lead character Lume's infertility. Once revealed, it's not surprising. And once you realize that, it's truly terrifying. Memories of war can crush us, and can be the Night Hag we simply can't get off our chest.
