ZZ Top: That Little Ol' Band from Texas

This is an good documentary, it is very informative as I did not know a lot about the history of this band. There are a number of interesting moments and stories in this movie. Overall I would recommend this for any music fan.

ends just as it was getting real interesting. It's kinda sad that MTV-teen videos is what gave them their big break, and despite the 50year+ career I guess they don't have anything to show post-1983

A simple yet enduring band who became unexpected superstars for a brief but thrilling period in the early to mid 80's when they turbo charged their patented blues rock style with a slick sonic sheen that catapulted them into the stratosphere. Dunn doesn't focus too much on this period, which is probably because, while it defined them culturally, musically their peak was in the 70's, when their gritty sound bristled with raw power and energy. Some context wouldn't have gone astray though.
