A young couple travels to a shabby Eastern European hospital for plastic surgery. The young woman wants a breast reduction. Wandering through an abandoned ward the boyfriend stumbles upon a young woman, gagged and strapped to an operating table; she is the result of an experimental rejuvenation treatment. He frees her, but does not realize he just caused the outbreak of a virus that will change doctors and patients into bloodthirsty zombies. (imdb)

Honestly don't understand why this got panned by the press; I imagine the ongoing wave of cookie-cutter commercial drivel that has infested multiplexes has turned off moviegoers from enjoying a good ol' classic gorefest. Made by someone clearly in love with the b-movie horror genre, Yummy gets by thanks to a strong sense of forward momentum, excellent special make-up effects and some truly hilarious slapstick gags. Not as memorable as some classics in that category but a total winner in my book.

Serviceable trashy fun. Moves through a bunch of decent set pieces at a solid pace. Script could have done with some tinkering, when the plot is this basic, 50% of the dialogue should not be exposition.

"I saw a man... eating... a man... " "Eating what? Finish sentence!" Fun, gory, if not particularly innovative zombie comedy. Some really dodgy CGI is kept to a minimum. Wisely doesn't try to do much with the themes it hints at.
