For a low budget Mountie adventure, this was on to something. Didn't quite shake-off the feeling of a standard in the genre, but it did feel like they put more effort in the crime and investigation surrounding it than your average Mountie film of the 30s & 40s. Kirby Grant, already a veteran screen Mountie, carried himself well, and Gail Davis added her charm to it all. But you got to appreciate B-movies to enjoy this.
