There is something about Jane Russell which could have made this drama work, but instead it becomes a draggy dialog driven bore where you struggle to find a meaningful purpose beyond that never ending courtship. The acting is actually super smooth. Shame to see the efforts go to waste on something as uninteresting as the Young Widow (1946).
