Australia fired its first shot at Austria by stealing Einstein's origins. A calculating Austria waited 20 years to hit back by unleashing Josef Fritzl and confusing the media into reporting he was Australian. Well played Austria, well played.

Yahoo Serious is a genius! A fitting man to play Einstein.

A very generous rating based on 80's Aussie nostalgia. It's a daft idea that had some creative potential but rarely takes flight due to the serious (no pun!) limitations of its star/helmer, who was not particularly skilled at staging jokes or developing ideas, and the Einstein quote at the end is the final kick to the balls. The overall impression is one of hubris and an overconfidence in the global appeal of Australiana which now takes an entirely different, but no less obnoxious, form.

Haha 34 years later and this movie still owns. Funnier than any new comedy film I’ve seen in the 2020s anyway, for however low a bar that may be. Kickin soundtrack too!

There are some laughs in here. Leave your brain at the door.

If you must see Yahoo Serious, go with 'Reckless Kelly', but don't expect much either way.

Yahoo Serious is supposed to be Australia's answer to Weird Al Yakovic but without songs. Serious just comes across as an unfunny douche. If you enjoy slapstick and juvenile humor you might like this film. I just remember that I was 10 years old when I saw this and even then I thought it was far below my maturity and intelligence level.

Hahaha! I forgot about this movie. Used to like it when I was a kid.

Nutty comedy based on the premise that Albert Einstein not only developed the theory of relativity, but also invented rock 'n' roll! The silliness continues from there... though any movie with "cat pies" can't be all bad.
