You Are Not I

Driver's odd little student movie overcomes its slow-moving and dreary first half with a superb second, using stark narration and eerie sound design to create a sombre but haunting atmosphere within which to explore the delusions of a mentally ill woman, who's played with impressive conviction by Suzanne Fletcher. The film was long thought to be lost but a copy was thankfully discovered in author Paul Bowles' Tangiers residence in 2008.
