You Are Not Alone

I'm sure that for it's time it was an outstanding film, but today there are better films of this type. The characters are not all that interesting, the pacing is dull, and it leaves a lot to be desired despite being somewhat ahead of its time. The second half did feel slightly more interesting however, although that isn't saying much.

There's a shameless romantic pseudo-pedophilic feeling to it, which is sort of interesting. It's sweet and the ending was so straightforward and shameless that I'm tempted to feel like there's something more to it other than what we see.
