Michelle Yeoh and Cynthia Rothrock kicking co-op ass surrounded by a whole bunch of unsafe looking stunts and dangerously cheesy eightiesness? Just hook it to my veins!

A Scotland Yard officer is killed in Hong Kong, and a lady cop from England joins a local lady cop to investigate. Rapidfire goofy comedy and adrenaline-soaked kung fu action with Michelle Yeoh and Cynthia Rothrock both kicking some serious ass. James Tien is wonderfully slimy as the cackling evil crime boss, and Dick Wei is a total monster. The crazy final battle rivals the one in Police Story for total amount of glass shattered, and the ending is surprisingly dark.

There are three reasons to see this movie: 1) Two chicks kicking a lot of ass. 2) Dick Wei kicking a lot of ass. 3) A good acting performance by director Hark Tsui. Good film, just don't expect solid characters or a deep story.

Opens strong and ends on a whole different plane of existence. It sags a bit in the middle but the extended final fight is absolutely worth the wait and then some. Unfortunately, I had to watch a dub-only version of the movie, and the voices were unbearably obnoxious. The guy voicing Tsui Hark sounded like fucking Urkel. The moment where the forger swaps places with a dummy of himself full of dynamite is one of the wildest things I've ever seen stuck into the middle of a live-action fight scene.

utterly silly and ridiculous, and yet a shining example of how charm, sincerity, and AMAZING fight choreography and stunts can outshine most misgivings

Did not expect this to be a slapstick comedy instead of an action film. The final act really dragged on, as though we're repeating the same boss fight level over and over again (cool mansion though). Yeoh looks unrecognizably young. I wish the film focused more on her and Rothrock rather than the guys, who had decent chemistry. When Rothrock got into the car with Yeoh, it gave me Rush Hour vibes. Fav scene: Hark running around his apartment like Home Alone.

I really liked "Righting Wrongs" which was also directed by Corey Yuen and starring Cynthia Rothrock. Sadly, Cynthia's role is much smaller here, but at least we get plenty of Michelle Yeoh. My biggest issue with this film was that instead of our duo of badasses, it spends a lot of screen-time with a trio of petty criminals and their scenes are much more goofier in tone; It feels like 2 films in one. There are some impressive action scenes, but considering the talent, this was a disappointment.

Don’t be fooled by trailers or posters, this is not an action movie starting Yeoh and/or Rothrock. Instead, it is a wacky HK 80s comedy starring Mang Hoi, John Shum, Tsui Hark and some very very broad acting (special mention to Chung Fat as Apex scenery omnivore!) that has about 15 minutes of random awesome choreography and stunt work sprinkled within that can just as easily be enjoyed without any context. A full watch is only recommended for those with the stomach for all that mugging.

All-around fun "chicks with guns" flick that has just enough comedic elements as filling between the very good action sequences (and a few funny cameos, as well). Favorite scene was probably the "Home Alone" traps the counterfeiter had created inside his apartment.

I was going to give this an above-average rating, until the very end. That was messed up. Was worth it for my first Cynthia Rothrock movie and some goofy comedy.

cheesy, but worth a look for fans of the genre
