Amazing film, how come so little people have seen it? Actually I watched it for the second time. Took me 5 minutes to realise I have seen it and loved before, the winter before last ago, when I had hazy kung-fu movie binge, and afterwards I hardly remembered what I watched, so couldn't rate them. This is completely over the top slapstick, and that's some amazing slapstick, comedy. You can actually see silent comedy influence over this movie. So far my favorite drunken kung-fu movie.

About a vampire who escapes his prison and sets about finding nine virgin boys so he can forge the lunar sword. Much the same brand of non-stop creative lunacy as Taoism Drunkard, but where that one felt haphazard and unfocused, here we have a more assuredly directed film that maintains interest. As is often the case, the cartoonish elements won't be for everyone and yet there's clearly some kind of genius at work here.

Super silly and doesn't make any sense nor does it try to. As goofy as it is it's still entertaining and the fights are fun and inventive. Also of note, this features Donnie Yen in his first on-screen appearance as a stuntman extra.

Rat Face from Drunken Wu Tang returns with his magic car and umpteen bottles of wine to wage battle with an escaped vampire wizard and his kung fu frog! The 9 Rings fight at the end was fantastic. What a movie!
