In this very rare case, the sequel is better than the original. Wrong Turn 2 really went for its campy, B-rate nature and embraces it's dark, tropey, and obvious cliche nature and it plays into it so naturally without any shame. When a studio knows what it's film is, it tends to come out better, and this is a perfect case of it. This isn't good, but it's dumb slasher fun, with a few genuinely creepy scenes that actually pack more of a punch due its dark humorous nature.

Henry Rollins...I should be able to stop there, but I won't. Nice and gory like I like it, the killees fight back and that is a given in any good horror movie. This time around the freaks that kill people can talk and it gives you some history on them, kudos on doing that. The stereotypes are much too prominent. I like the satire on reality television. Poor acting and sub-par plot bogs this down to just average.

Possibly the most drastic improvement between an original film and a sequel, a dynamic that's already considered a rarity. Henry Rollins & the level of gore are very impressive, to the point where towards the end the amount of blood made it feel like an episode of Metalocalypse. Could have been even better if the main character was more memorable, and they dropped the TCM family dinner homage which felt like the filmmakers thought they were being cute by lifting it wholesale.

What's not to like about wannabe reality stars getting sliced / diced/ and then getting ate by cannibals ?

Wrong Turn 2 isn't going to blow many people away, but for those who saw the first film and are looking for something better, you get that here. It's a surprise, especially given the four years and direct-to-video status of the sequel, but it's a pleasant surprise. Wrong Turn 2 does enough right to make me think that it's worth seeing. You don't even need to see the first film to make sense of it. In fact, that might be the way to go about things. Skip the first and move right on to the sequel.

This sequel deserves credit - its better than the first film, Rollins was an inspired casting choice and the creators, clearly horror fans from what you see in the film, use the clichés of the genre to continually jar your expectations so no character is safe in the running time or what you expect of them. Aside from that, it's either that it cannot pull itself fully from the generic structure and plot it has or I'm more of a fan of the less conventional and 'abstract' entries of horror cinema.

Does everything right that the original failed at. The kills are gory as hell, it plays with the audience's expectations and has Henry Rollins going all semi-Rambo over everyone's ass. Reminded me a bit of Feast at times.

A movie like this doesn't have a high bar so you take what you get and this didn't mangle anything up other than meat grinder kills but that's an appropriate mangling.

Amps up the gore for sure when compared to the first movie. It's ridiculous and Henry Rollins is a goddamn star in it.

the trashiest sort of trash. why are those things literally indestructible? why did they literally copy that one scene from texas chainsaw massacre (i mean, it already is a copy of tcm and thhe overall, so)? why does this film exist? who asked for it? who could enjoy it? i've so many unanswered questions.

So it's true, this isn't my kind of movie in any sense, and I shouldn't have been watching it in the first place, but to my revulsion this was shown on the BUS, to the viewing of whole families. Only in Africa... If you like you some gory slasher flicks, check out other reviews, because this film might be for you.

An even more shameless ripoff of 1970s redneck horror than the original, while this time also a surrender to the 1980s formula of trying to be funny and sexy in between shlocky gore scenes, and making the audience guess who will be the final girl by considering the stereotypes represented by each character. Henry Rollins provided for some of the more worthwhile scenes, in that "Bruce Campbell kicking Deadite ass" sort of way.

Remember when you made Damaged and My War, Henry Rollins? I remember. Seeing a movie called Wrong Turn 2: Dead End on your Wikipedia page is one sad short story waiting to happen.

Suprisingly good considering I watched it at 2 AM on the SciFi channel. The concept is clever and done well, the monsters are interesting and scary, and Henry Rollins is a badass. Worth a watch.

Artistic merit is pretty much nonexistent here, but it gets the full star for an attempt at an original premise (reality show gets too real) and the sheer insanity of some of the gore (we're talking several tiers beyond that first entry in the series..) But yeah, er, other than that, no.

Cool deaths and decent sfx can't save this movie from feeling like a mediocre remake of Hills Have Eyes. Standard b-movie acting, directing and writing hampers a cool idea (reality tv survivors thrown into a real survival situation [tropic thunder?]) and fairly scary inbred monsters. Everything is done just well enough to make it worth a watch but you won't miss out on much if you don't. I do recommend watching the first ten minutes or so.

This is definitely worth a watch if you are a fan of the first one and asked the question, "What if this movie wasn't taking itself seriously at all?" Well, then you would have Wrong Turn 2, which is campy and fun yet still stays true to the form/story of the first picture.

Better than the first one, if you ask me. Goredrenched low-budget horror... with a hint of selfirony? Taken as Evil Dead-type "over-the-top comic horror" it's actually quite enjoyable. Crap? Sure. Fun crap? No doubt.
