Would you rather watch tired torture porn featuring a sadistic aristocrat who lures inherently good, yet flawed commoners into his home to sacrifice their dignity in exchange for a few bucks, or would you rather dip your sleeping grandmother's hand in baby shit and use it to jerk off in front of a class of kindergarten exchange students from Tasmania? If you're a fan of the Saw films, then you'd probably like this one as well. I know that most people hate them, but I always appreciate a good "Fuck You audience" ending.

The most uninspired directing since vague yet thinly veiled knowledgeable Sasha Grey joke.

Very well done subtle 'torture porn' movie. Unlike similar movies of the genre, it took itself seriously, forcing you to think about what you'd actually do in a similar situation. And, as user Jerky pointed out, I love a good "Fuck You audience ending". Very nicely and accurately put.

Jeffrey Combs is a delight, but everything else about this stinks.

I haven't laughed so hard at an ending in a long time. Whether or not it's unintentional doesn't matter. Between that and Jeffrey Combs, I suppose I did actually kind of enjoy this. Sasha Grey should stick to porn though.

The Addam's family (without the wife) unimaginatively murders needy people from the comfort of their own home.

Comparatively tame spin on SAW-type torture porn has only Combs’ excessively flamboyant (but welcome) performance to recommend it, otherwise it’s a bit of damp squib (pun somewhat intended) – there’s requisite ugliness and unpleasantness, but it lacks any sense of wit or irony as it plays out, and the gross-out moments when they come lack the vibrancy and electricity of say one of Jigsaw’s traps, not helped by low-energy, almost TV level direction from Levy.

Better than expected horror that does get a little graphic, not for the squeamish.

Hilariously shitty. It has that ironic enjoyment like Bee Movie or The Lorax

The premise does most of the heavy lifting for this shallow title. What I find weak is that the individuals don't ask about very pertinent concerns and no one walks away. It's just a variant on Saw.

Explores a slightly different concept than in Circle (2015) from among the various dark but true concepts of life in an extreme, ultimate and quick but LEGIT manner.

Soft core torture porn, which is fine for me. Pretty good performances and the ending makes it memorable.

I don't think it's just the presence of Ricky from Trailer Park Boys; PG-13 torture porn is a profoundly Canadian concept.

Perfectly average. Could've been much better, could've been a lot worse.

some are talking about "torture porn". but honestly, if thats the angle you came at it from, its pretty much pg13 relative to what you would expect. its not that hard, at all really. but entertaining. better than bad. not great. its.........amusing. and as far as "extreme" goes, in that regard, its weak sauce, so dont be scared, those with cowardly stomachs. worth a watch i say, good way to kill some time.

Considering the main plot is about an "eXtreme Hardcore" version of a children's game and the villains are bored rich people using human suffering as entertainment, it could have been A LOT worse.

I knew it was going to be one of those Saw clones, so I wasn't expecting much, but in most ways, this still managed to disappoint. I predicted the ending would be smart-alecky, but instead it just goes out with a whimper. On the other hand, Jeffrey Combs and Sasha Grey actually elevate it somewhat.

Some funny performances from the actors. The kind of movie I don't take too seriously and like to enjoy. The villain is pretty awesome and badass.

Not as smart as it thinks it is, although somewhat enjoyable.

A fantastic premise that is filled with certain problems that take away from an incredibly suspense film. Jeffery Combs is an amazing villain but, a lack of character development for certain characters, a subplot that is only there to length the movie and accomplishes nothing, and a somewhat predictable plot points do hinder the film. It's still a fun torture flick with a possibly predictable yet "Fuck you" ending that will probably piss off some people.

Entertaining torture flick with an interesting enough premise. I really liked Jeffrey Combs as the sadistic Shepard. The ending was predictable, but it fit the movie perfectly.

This movie had a lot going for it until it blew it with the very predictable and unsatisfying ending. I also wish that they would have told us why each contestant in the game was actually there with some good ol' fashioned character development. The level of sadisticness was delectable and it really was a good time until the kick to the ribs of an ending. Snow was excellent in this and I thought Sasha Grey's character was hilarious. Some really tense moments, I just wish it was better.

It's not particularly clever, kind of like a pitch black version of Clue. Would You Rather is psychologically interesting, pitting viewers in a 'what would you do?' scenario. It's also effectively violent. More character development would be nice as I didn't really care about the characters. The ending though is predictable and forced.
