Worth

A smooth and well-balanced mix of compelling legal procedural and emotive drama that ends nicely with the climax of Ken's character arc ("You're nothing like him"). Some of the script is a bit on the nose, some supporting performances slip up, and the dead screen-space for some of the dialogue scenes is strange, but it's made up for by some moments of cinematic excellence (see the gradual realization on the train), great performances by the main trio, and some cool camerawork in other places.

Decent story, but ultimately unremarkable and mostly tedious

I found the subject quite interesting so i enjoyed it, but it’d be far fetched to call this visionary filmmaking

I know I saw this because I keep a watch log, but I honestly can't remember anything else of this film except some Spotlight vibes (I film I DO remember seeing). That's the hem sin of story driven, rather than character driven, movies. Unmemorable, this subject matter could've (and undoubtedly has) worked better as a documentary.

Extremely watchable based-on-a-true-story legal drama. The performances are strong, and Colangelo and Borenstein keep things relatively clinical without being overly exploitative. Ultimately, Worth is not as elegant as something like Spotlight (the gold standard for these kinds of paperwork dramas and a film that I couldn't help but be reminded of throughout Worth's runtime), but it's very, very solid.

Heavy subject matter but excellent performances and movie.

A tough topic handled decently with good acting. But honestly, I have no clue how it was actually resolved. I understood the character arc, and the gradual build of trust, but why did people actually sign I didn’t understand and I’m not sure if it is my fault.
