Wonder Woman

I was hoping for something good, & instead I actually got something great. I'm not big on comics or superheroes in general, but I do enjoy them. I don't, however, enjoy most modern DC/MCU movies with their soulless stories & bloated runtimes. This, then, is just the thing for me: a movie that accomplishes in under 80 minutes what the 2017 version couldn't in over two hours. Not without its flaws, definitely too corny for its own good in spots, but overall a fun watch with quite a lot to say.

I got a headache while watching this due to excessive eyerolling.

Top badass moment? What does crap mean? And getting a full and accurate answer. A plane crashes into an Amazon fulfilment centre that only employs women. (I'm guessing Themyscira has pretty weak employment legislation.) A worker there, Diana, who thinks she’s a princess/goddess so clearly has self-image issues, takes the pilot back to civilisation. Despite saying she’s into peace and love, she’s actually a bit, well, violent. 2 decapitations (see what I mean), no cats or chainsaws.

Focuses on action sequences instead of characters.

That was a lot of fun. The dialogue was hilarious at parts - sharp and fresh. A very quotable film. The mature elements in the film - violence, gore, Hades - well executed, contributing to the overall feel of the film.

The artwork is fluid if not particularly nice to look at, but I suppose that is the classic comic book aesthetic, and the story is rather the same: it moves easily enough, carrying mild interest, but is never particularly engaging.

The letdown in this film is the animation - it comes off as terribly cheap and lifeless - but the story itself is quite enjoyable and effectively told, and some of the dialogue are amusing - especially N.Fillion's very Capt. Mal-esque lines throughout. *Preview*: #14#, popcorn, story, ratings, cast!

Cartoon. Not well animated. Pretty boring.

Definitely one of the better DC Universe Animated Original Movies. Wonder Woman is an entertaining movie that utilizes its characters, their dialogue, and the story quite well.

Probably the closest we may ever get to a Wonder Woman feature. Personally I don't mind so much, but I guess some fans will have to settle.

i found it boring.

A shame this material is wasted on an animated dvd since this is the blueprint 2 the most entertaining W.W. film any1's ever likely 2 c. The way this story feels fresh but faithful; the way it surprises w/out feeling contrived; & the thought-out balance (that feels organic) btwn action, character, seriousness & humor r most reminiscent of the Star Trek revamp. The level of violence surprises 4 a cartoon - just 1 more thing that'll have u picturing the live-action blockbuster this could've been.

"My name is Zeus and I am the king among gods. Ares, my son, is the god of war. We must fight because we disagree." That's not verbatim from 'Wonder Woman', but it may as well be. I was rolling my eyes so much during this flick that my eyelids started to hurt. So many exposition dumps. Why tell each other so much information you already know? "You and I are sisters, Athena." Would you not punch that person? I wish I could. When the plot picks up, it recovers, but not enough to save the film.

Actually managed to make Wonder Woman interesting and fun! Definitely the best so far of the recent DC animated DVD features.

There's a reason that this animated movie was released direct to video.
