Women Aren't Funny

I feel the need to justify my distaste for this film based on the fact that I do not agree with the title statement. I had to stop watching for fear that this would sway my opinion in the opposite direction of the intended goal. Bafflingly has as many laughs as Restrepo.

The problem is that women ARE funny but this film is so not.

And neither is this "documentary"

This is a bizarre combination of semi-real interviews, obvious farce, and what seems to be actually "documentary" work to the point where the line between documentary and mockumentary gets blurred and confusing, which makes it lose some of the humor. But the ultimate joke Bonnie seems to be making is a mockery of the people who think this is a real documentary. I'm firmly convinced it's one big joke. If I'm wrong I've overrated this by about 40 points.

Movie about a pretty funny woman talking to some funny men and women and some unfunny men and women.

Poorly done in terms of a documentary trying to tackle an issue, but the meta aspect of the sometimes hilarious content did make it enjoyable to watch. I will say that Colin Quinn's(?) quote of, "There are more unfunny males in comedy than there are working female comedians" probably sums up the issue in a nutshell. Like everything else women blame men / culture for, the likely cause of that probably has something more to do with women and how they treat each other than it does invisible hands.
