Wolf Lake

This was a small gem; a backwoods thriller in the vein of Deliverance and Straw Dogs. It makes great use of its location; a couple of cabins and the surroundings. The story is well constructed and the internal logic remains believable. The budgetary limitations are only evident during a scene when the characters try to escape. The cast does a good job and the characters are interesting; I especially liked the dynamics between Steiger and his crew. Should definitely be better known.
