One of the weaker efforts within the 30 for 30 franchise. Sheds no insights to anyone who has ever heard of college basketball. Cocaine is bad and Len Bias died from it? Like, whoa.

It's like they went to the Around the Horn studios for a day and got all the people there to do interviews and were done. Makes references that Bias may have spurned the war on drugs but doesn't really support it's claims with anything other than here-say. Felt like they put this together in a week

My least favorite so far of the 30 for 30's. Most of the film is nothing more than interviews with crying family and friends about his death. It gets good in the final act when issues about drug availability, mandatory minimums, etc. are brought up. Too little too late; it would have been way better to focus the entire thing on topics that were superficially mentioned in the final 20 minutes.

I think it's a good entry to the topic, but doesn't really shed much light on what happened if you didn't already know. There are some moving pieces with the family, but it feels more like a 20/20 news story. I wish more time would have been devoted to Tribble and Jay, as their stories seem to have a lot more left under the surface.

A Facebook memorial wall post in documentary form. This film imbues but two lessons: Len Bias is responsible for all the black people we have in prison, and his mother is insane.

Sad how drugs calimed the the life of another athlete and a great person.

Short and mostly skims the surface. It doesn't feel powerhouse enough for the player Bias was, and the scandal that ensued.

Interesting since I was only 2 when it happened and I hadn't heard much about it. Unfortunately it didn't really go very deep. If nothing else it told people he wasn't a regular drug user (which a lot of people probably assumed he was) and that his death led to some very stupid laws regarding jail time despite only possessing small amounts of a drug.

A brief and decent overview of the Bias story and how its effects still reverberate throughout the country.
