In 1938-39 20th Century Fox did a trio of pictures with a sports theme using Henry Armetta as a recurring secondary character switching the rest up, including the leads and sport. In Winner Take All (1939), it's boxing with Tony Martin. While a straight-forward picture, it also feel rough and unfocused like a B-picture often was. Packing in a lot in a hour format, becoming almost overwhelming.
