The film outlines the passionate but also dangerous relationship between the actress Alison and the glamor crook Quinten. Love goes so far as to provide Alison with an alibi for her lover when he is suspected of murdering his father. But Quinten also goes through fire for her and goes after her manager when it turns out that he has run off with her wages. However, this confrontation turns out to be fatal for Quinten, on the eve of the premiere of Alison's show.
