Wild, Wild Planet

The villain's plan is to combine himself with a woman - literally cut himself and a woman in half down the middle, then stick the halves together. Whatever other flaws this movie has (and they are legion), I at least have to give it props for that completely insane bit of originality.

The plot is muddled, the acting stilted and it's missing the campness that can make old Sci-fi fun. The best thing about this film is the clothes they are wearing and the cars they are driving.

A race of women in beehives and bald men in black leather suits come to a future earth where everything is controlled by 'The Corporations' and turn unsuspecting citizens into dolls. Sure, sounds great, but it moves at a glacial pace and the lead character being a complete weenie (with everyone but him knowing it). I'd almost have to admire how inventive it is if it weren't also so goddamned stupid.

I dare you not to love this.

How the actors kept a straight face through this one is beyond me. It's everything you'd expect from italian b-scifi-horror.
