Doesn't look like much, but in fact this is possibly the best short story collection ever filmed. Each story is a satirical look at dark corners of human nature, and each story manages to surprise viewer is some way. Did I mention this film is simply hilarious?

what a riot! such a fantastically funny and horrific film! it was so well done in every sense of the word - the dialogue, the tightly knitted situations, the comedy, the aesthetics. szifron is a true genius and this film is a testament to his talent as a filmmaker that is simultaneously diverse and singular in his vision. this must be the most perfectly crafted and absurd comedy i've ever seen.

Feature films comprised of short films can run the risk of being tiringly tedious, but that's certainly not the case here. Each of these short tales are so captivating and entertaining to watch, and are filled with grim humour that certainly appeals to me, cynically taking on money-hungry bureaucracy, general xenophobia, and the broken hearted. There's a vague theme throughout, of vengeance taken to ridiculous heights, with a different mood for each tale so that none of them feel expendable.

Dark Humor at its best. It's a collection of short tales about ordinary people trapped in almost plausible situations. Remember that parking ticket that made you mad? Expect some death, some graphic violence, some guilty laughs. Well shot, using Argentinian landscape and megacities as as background.

Tales about the contemporary realities we live through everyday. The hysteria and comedy we live via the "fake confrontations" of modern life. Interestingly manages to be funny and scary at the same time. I think the car fight and the last story with the wedding are my favorites.

I like myself some dark comedy, and this movie gave me a mixed bag, ranging from surprising, original and twisted to obvious, predictable and forced. Every segment is entertaining in its own way, but some definitely work better than others. Overall recommendable if you take your humor dark.

Five separate outrageous stories with many unexpected moments. Performances were good, convincing and believable. Spoken Spanish, but I found English subtitles. A range of emotions are handled. Each short story stands on their own as complete and shocking. Worth watching. I especially liked the performance of Erica Rivas as the bride.

They stay strong on their own, but would pack all the more punch if they were interconnected in any discernible way in terms of the plot or, better yet, if they were woven along some binding, all encompassing and well articulated theme. These are wild tales indeed! I wasn't sure what I was getting myself into with this foreign film, but I'm sure glad I dove in feet first into these crazy tales of revenge. There were several tales that I really loved, especially the one on the airplane and at the wedding. Not all the short films were good but I was entertained for most of the film. The two hours seemed to slide by quickly because you are always changing stories...

Perhaps the best foreign-language film I've ever seen! It's 6 separate short stories, and I think all of them could have been fleshed out to be a full movie on their own. It starts out really good, and it gets better and better...before it culminates in the absolute best wedding sequence in the history of film! I saw it yesterday and I keep thinking about it and smiling, and laughing, and talking about it, and smiling some more! I can't deny it a perfect 100!

I think this can only really be labelled horror after what happens to the parking ticket guy in his trip down the civic drainpipe. Overall, Wild Tales has a Black Mirror feel to it with the similar darker sense of humour/ tragic reality formula. Was impressed with the vignette at the top up to its conclusion and further by the unique opening titles.

Six great dark humor short stories, though the subtitles detracted from some of them. The first one is short but had one of the best cinematic sight gags in a long time. I liked the road rage one a lot, and the last one is an instant classic which needs to be held up as a model for what we'd all like to see at a Great White Wedding--marriage in a nutshell. "Retaliation" would have been a better title, or "Revenge", or "Vengeance" or "Payback" or my favorite, "One Up Yours" .

Wild Tales, Argentina's 2015 Oscar nominee, is a series of twisted shorts that is a mix between The Twilight Zone and Black Mirror. Only funnier. It feels more like an American indie than an 'international' movie, so don't worry about having to 'switch modes'. But Wild Tales is more refreshing than the average indie and it will pleasantly surprise you. For me it felt like finding a gem among stones. For nerds: there is this thirty second shot that I thought was very inventive.

O mais realista que um filme surrealista pode ser (ou o contrário), chama a atenção para a tênua linha que separa as pequenas transgressões que boa parte de todos nós temos de acontecer algo maior, com a situação fugindo totalmente de controle. As estórias são bem escritas e criativas, o grande ponto negativo é que o enorme número de estórias independentes faz com que cada uma seja explorada superficialmente.

Anthologies are usually hit and miss and this extremely dark comedy is no exception, with a couple of weaker stories, including the closing segment, a disastrous wedding that became rather tiresome. But there are some corkers, including Darin as a demolition expert driven mad by the DMV and a satisfyingly twisty story about a father's efforts to cover up a hit and run killing. A handsomely-shot film, with some brutal violence. It doesn't all work, but hits the bullseye from time to time.

Mixed bag of short stories. I really liked two stories, hated one (the last one, to end it all with a bad taste) and three were just meh. I feel this is very overrated. If the stories were somehow connected that would change things, but no. Watchable in any case.

A collection of tales, so, unsurprisingly, quality varies. Still it must be said that the first two shorts are nothing less than incredible, both thoroughly unpredictable and ruthlessly entertaining. Most of the rest are good but not great, unfortunately the last story is meant to be the film's grand opus, but only succeeds in being the film's least interesting - and worse - far and away, the longest tale & plays like an SNL skit that runs too long as it tries - and fails - to find an ending.

Pretty good. I especially enjoyed the road rage segment, but overall I'm quite shocked of the universal acclaim that the film has received. To me it was a good collection of short films with two stand-outs (the other being the bomber). The absence of any kind of link (apart from thematic) between the stories removes the need to watch this as a standalone film and makes you just skip to the good bits. It was skillfully made and I enjoyed the black humor, so I'm not gonna complain too much.

A delicious satire on our "revenge society". Each of the film's six unconnected vignettes begins plausibly, but absurd coincidences and surprises raise the stakes to red-alert levels. As the tension mounts in each short scene, we realize our own revenge fantasies are being played out before us--and that we're laughing all the way. Revenge is a dish best served cold indeed! WT has one of the most electrifying openings I've seen and is a very funny, clever, brutal and thrilling film. WT puts together six different stories that all have revenge as their common theme. While some might be more engaging then others, they all have a lot of dark humor and take unpredictable turns. WT would certainly make Tarantino proud with its excellent blend of stylized violence and sharp comedy.

All the small people in all the little stories add up to one magnificent thematic balls up to show what happens when situation gets out of control, hence, wild tales, see? The tales, undeniably wild, also wildly differs in quality. The experience contains some good dark humour, though most of the stories are veery far-fetched to make them funny. Still, if you tolerate sarcasm and can imagine life in the end turning out to be but a joke little wrong can these tales do to you.

Ah, the intriguing dark side of humanity. What happens when people who have been wronged are pushed to their limits? They decide to get even and start to push back. And this film shows that their revenge can be as hilarious as it is brutal.
