Wife vs. Secretary

Excellent cast but kind of mundane story and presentation and a questionable message. Gable and Moy have great chemistry. Might have been a little more interesting if the Gable/Harlow end of things wasn't quite as squeaky clean innocent.

In the end, it's all down to misunderstanding, i.e. the Gable character being a bit of an idiot and not telling his wife things at all.

The actors all had great chemistry with each other! Just imagine Clark Gable with both Myrna Loy and Jean Harlow! Yeah, those are good matches! So the movie is worth watching for that triangle. The story however is on the boring side. Not a hint of sexual tension between Gable and his secretary Harlow. Since when was Harlow so damn innocent. Oh yeah, the code.... The end with Jimmy Stewart and Harlow was super cute ending on a romantic note!

Husband vs. penis (and brain) (and Jean Harlow's ass); needless to say Myrna Loy wins.
