White Snake

A lot of magical bs with a story for kids, but sex scenes and innuendo for adults, for a target audience who must already be familiar with the story.

I can't say I cared much for what was going on, but I got lost in it. More dreamy than anything else. Pleasant one filled with romance and action.

White Snake is an enjoyable film that manages to deliver a cute, albeit clichéd, romance set within a cool fantasy world. I'm realising that demons, prejudice, reincarnation, & hanging plot threads involving dragons are all staples of Chinese fantasy. The film has a video game aesthetic, but it's pleasant enough with the detailed backdrops & location/set-piece design. The narrative does suffer a little from weird edits, and the villains all lack a bit of depth. The Fox demon was great though.

Animations are great but the story and plot so dragged and dry. Also, her full python body design was terrible compare to her hybrid form it was laughable. Enjoyable at some point but meeeh. It's just about very cool animations and effects.
