Whipsaw

A good story hampered by some bad dialogue and flat directing.

This is not a major picture even if it stars Myrna Loy & Spencer Tracy, but it has it's beauty. They are more low volumed compared to their usual act. The hushed down and simplified behavior is whats makes this film different with it's basic and photographic scenes to match the atmosphere. Especially when Loy was concerned looking particularly attractive as a criminal falling for the undercover cop. And with a little action at the end with a sweet love scene to fade us out this became pleasant.
