A fun set of Bugs Bunny tropes. Rather slow for the first half but the What's Up Doc musical number is a lot of fun and makes up for it.

Mostly dumb but still watchable. Surprisingly, it's a fairly critical commentary on the Fame machine, which makes the "What's Up Doc?" song and the actor cameos the best bits. I also think it might be a summary of the careers of Martin and Lewis, but I could have made that up to amuse myself.

Appropriately for a short centered around vaudeville, this reminds me of the Marx Brothers: not terrifically funny so much as endearing. I love the idea of Bugs and Elmer as a vaudeville comedy duo. But even for its brief runtime, the animators could've done a lot more with the premise.

More interesting than funny. An acknowledgement, maybe even a criticism of the pressure, with Looney Tunes' increasingly popularity, to build a brand and thus iron out idiosyncrasies.

One of McKimson's best.
