What To Expect When You're Expected is a poor film. As Expected. I appreciate I am not the intended target audience, but due to my several months pregnant partner, I was obviously forced to watch this mess. Regardless of the amount of high profile stars, this film falls into the same category as Valentines Day and New Years Eve. There is no plot or point to the film, its simply just a showcase for 10 minute screen time big name stars to get an easy pay check. These films should be boycotted.

"A look at the lives of five couples as they prepare to become parents." NO?! A look at 10 dumbnuts messing about, saying stupid things ("oooh, look, I cooked you this bagel as a token of my love, because we are both cooks you and I"), doing stupid things, exchanging stupid looks and being as far from real people as you could possibly write them. YUCK YUCK YUCK.

Painful on pretty much every level--the humor isn't funny, the drama isn't poignant, it's boring, overlong, offensive, it's shallow, it panders...the large cast ranges from the likable (Elizabeth Banks, Dennis Quaid) to the boring (most of the cast), to the depressing (Chris Rock), to the intolerable (Ben Falcone). The script is lazy, the attitudes cliched, the characters shrill as all hell...the golf cart race was fun, though. Pregnant mothers should not watch this, or anyone who has been born.

I didn't hate this one. Yes, it's a middling 2010's romdromcom that hits all the expected beats & makes all the expected jokes, but it was still enjoyable- especially as the first movie I saw in my new home after spending seven days moving across the US. Brooklyn Decker's character is basically the perfect woman in all avenues here, such a sweetheart, I liked her. I wish the Kendrick/Crawford story got more time. A decent time-passer, but nothing extraordinary.

Oh no! We have five scripts that we want to turn into movies, but we only have the budget for one. What are we going to do? I know! Let's combine all five of them together. I'm sure it won't be a complete mess at all.

I was expecting more, I should have read what I should be expecting first. This movie isn't horrible, but it definitely won't be remembered in cinema history. Once again, a large talented cast all get thrown in a blender and what comes out is a goopy mess...

What to Expect When You're Expecting is an ensemble comedy about pregnancy that has such a lack of depth that I wished the ensemble was dropped so we could follow a single story. That way, characters could actually exist -- archetypes would, ideally, be removed in favor of human beings -- and we could actually gain some insight into what happens during pregnancy. The film works as light, forgettable entertainment, but if you're looking for anything other than that, you'll want to keep searching.

How to Collect an Easy Paycheck, starring every actor in this crappy movie.

Not enough time is spent on any one story for the audience to get truly invested or involved with the characters. Since the characters are basically quite likable and their stories kind of interesting, the result is like skimming quickly through an issue of People, giving us a lot of nice, pretty images and a general idea of who these people are, but that's about it.

This movie creeped me out. It's hard to combine emotional scenes about miscarriages in a slapstick comedy, and this one don't do it well. You see that girl on the cover? She's not keepin that one, just to let you know. Just reusing the supporting cast of Bridesmaids and making another overlong all-star mish mash.

Vanilla-bland. I can't think of anything else to say about it, really. A bunch of women get pregnant. One doesn't. One adopts. A couple of their husbands/significant others freak out. Others don't. Everything happens exactly as you think it would. Exactly. Why does this movie exist?

I didn't expect much, and this shallow crappy mess delivered; shitty ensemble-rom-com/drama is a terrible trend. *Preview*: #12#, exp-2*, popcorn, Anna.K/8-4, Cameron.D/7-3, R1.

I fear for the future of film if we're going to be inundated with these giant rotating cast films, each of which seems to star Jennifer Lopez.

"It's the inevitability and uniformity of the film's attitude--as well as the desperately strained and unfunny way in which it puts it across--that's bothersome." - Andrew Schenker
