I love Tex Ritter! Too bad he never got to make any good movies, always working for the small outfits in the 30s. I guess the poverty row studios used up all of their budget paying his salary, for his films look dirt cheap and include some of the most unoriginal writing available for the western genre. But the man had a unique singing voice which goes a long was in a 'singing cowboy' vehicle. But even for that there wasn't enough singing here, making it close to a dud.
