Welcome II the Terrordome

Campy and difficult to watch at points, but hard-hitting, fresh, and framed by a powerful allegory.

A black and sort of feminist oriented c-grade through-and-through exploitationer. Has a fairly unique vibe going on, which amounts to feeling a lot like regular c-grade garbage, driven by artistic and political pretensions. Oh, did I mention it's also a retro hip-hop musical? The music is quite good, and the structure isn't so hinged on the set-piece. In fact, I find it mercifully fresh, given what musical fare typically turns out to be.

Doesn't suffer from older technology, doesn't suffer from that limited budget, doesn't suffer from that specific tone so deeply intertwined with the BBC.

Acho que esse filme se equipara em importância a Daughters of the Dust da Julie Dash e The Watermelon Woman da Cheryl Dunye em obras fundamentais dirigidas por mulheres negras nos anos 90, mas o da Ngozi Onwurah está sendo redescoberto só agora.
