Weekend of a Champion

A look at the life of a race car driver during the 70's. Jackie Stewart is joined by director Roman Polanski during the 1971 Monaco Grand Prix race weekend. It was hard to watch the race scenes after having watched current sports broadcasts. The film was interesting yet it was too disjointed. The beginning of the movie was a film about a race car driver during race weekend. The second half of the movie was about a driver concerned about safety. The later half was not as compelling as the former.
