Wednesday's Child

The issue of divorce was so differently portrayed in the 30s. During the precode days it was always a joyful thing, to the point where everyone should get one! Come the code in mid-34 and the sanctity of marriage had to be saved no matter what. And Wednesday's Child (1934) is one of those cases. Where the unhappy couple with no chemistry or affection get forced together because of the sick and unhappy son. For the most part a dreary melodrama one just want to forget.
